Snacks Snacks and More Snacks!

I have been trying to find some healthy snacks to eat during the day that will not make me feel bad about myself. It can be hard being a college student and trying to get the right amount of nutrients your body needs when you are constantly busy and your mom is not there to cook for you (don't we all wish!!) I started eating the 100-calorie bags of popcorn made my Pop Secret, which are a great snack since I love popcorn. This is one of my favorite snacks to have at my apartment.
However, popcorn is not the best snack to bring to campus when I have classes all day. So, I like to buy the the small bags of trail mix with the nuts that are high in protein. Nuts are an excellent source of protein to snack on throughout the day. It helps to satisfy my hunger until I can eat a meal.
Another great snack that is easy to keep in your book bag are protein bars. The market on campus sells a fair amount and my favorite ones to buy are the Cliff bars.
My sister recently told me about this new protein shake called Muscle Milk. It has 20 grams of protein and only 100 calories! Yes, that’s right ONLY 100 calories!! I did not believe her when she told me about this. It is super yummy and taste just like a chocolate milkshake except SO much better for you and there is no need to feel guilty! I have been drinking these shakes for breakfast and it helps hold me over during the day. Next time you are craving that milkshake from Cook Out substitute it for one of these instead!
