Social media is so vastly used in today’s society. Almost everyone we know has some type of social media account. Monitoring your content on all your social media accounts is key to your reputation. When applying to jobs, it is crucial you do not have anything that could harm you from receiving that “dream job.” You do not want to have provocative images or words exposed to the public. Numerous people suffer the consequences of not getting a job opportunity due to Human Resources viewing a potential employee social media site and seeing pictures of you and your friends partying together or drinking at a bar or finding out nude pictures have been released of you.
This is why many companies have social media policies that pertain to their organization or company. These rules maintain what you can and cannot post on your personal social media accounts. You should not post negative comments regarding your company or any discrimination comments.
Social Media can terminate one’s privacy. People can find out an abundant amount of personal information so that is why it is important to keep your social media accounts on a private setting and why there is law enforcement based on social media.
It is so ideal to monitor your social media accounts before appyling for jobs.
